Fain IP Law was formed in 2005, the successor to Mays & Fain, LLP, which in turn was begun in early 2003 by two visionary private practice IP attorneys who agreed that the field would be benefited by a smaller, client-friendly firm:  a firm that would work with a client to determine their needs and goals, and then strive to achieve those goals and that would be honest with its clients about costs & perceived chances of success with its IP goals.  
 
One of these partners left Mays & Fain, LLP in late 2005 to take an in-house job with a major telecommunications company which was one of Mays & Fain's biggest clients.  While she is very much missed as a part of the firm, we go on.  The firm was reformed as Fain IP Law, P.C. and continues to serve its clients with the same client-oriented focus. 
 
We handle the full scope of intellectual property matters:  patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, licensing & litigation.  Our practitioners are registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.  If we can't help you, we'll do our best to direct you to someone who can!
